Really happy with the Hainanese chicken laksa I got. It had mixed egg noodles and vermicelli, as is traditional. The broth was... creamy and yummy with not too much heat. I got it to go and served in a nice bowl when i got home. Unlike many other places atcrystal, they also take card! Read more
Ipoh is the bomb, 100%. There is no denying that Ipoh knows exactly what they're doing at an amazing value. My friends and I... have visited this place multiple times on multiple vacations just because it was so good. I've gotten the curry beef in thepast and more recently, their Hainanese chicken rice. They have a solid curry beef in a huge portion, but in my eyes, the realwinner is their Hainanese chicken rice. I think it might be the best Hainanese chicken rice I've ever gotten ever. I've beenaround several restaurants and cafes in Ontario looking for a decent chicken rice, but none of them come close to the taste andvalue of Ipoh. Read more

Not sure if I got the wrong dish from IPOH, but I was quite disappointed with the main I ordered. I got the curry beef brisket... with rice as well as an order of Malay style chicken wings. The curry brisket was quite cheap, priced at $12.25. Unfortunatelythe quality also reflected it. First off, every piece of beef was cold in the centre, which made me suspect they have a pot ofbeef in the fridge and just toss a few chunks in the curry when an order comes in. Sadly they didn?t warm it upenough. Secondly, the curry sauce was just lukewarm and quite bland. I don?t taste any of the spices, which is quitedisappointing since they boosted to be authentic Malaysian food. On top of the curry beef, there were also carrots and potatochunks. The chicken wings in comparison was much better. It was deep fried properly with a crispy skin. The chicken wings werealso seasoned perfectly, it was juicy with every bite. Definitely will order it again. Unlike some of the food court stalls,Ipoh gives you a buzzer to alert you when your food is ready, so you don?t have to stand and wait for your order.
