I tried the matcha shaved ice. Surprisingly, it's the ice part that was most enjoyable. I thought I would love the matcha ice... cream more and ice part would be just so-so but I was wrong. The matcha icecream was not very sweet at all. I would say it'sabout 50% less sweet than commercial matcha ice cream you get at stores. While it is nice on its own and enjoyable, since otheritems on the shaved ice had normal amount of sugar, the ice cream became bitter after tasting other items. I tried the yuzu matcha and while it is refreshing it is pretty expensive for the size, it's about $7.50 for what would be a... size small at most places. They are also card only and have the auto tip screen, makes it awkward not tipping, with the smallesttip it goes up to around $8.50. I'll probably be back to try the floats though. Read more
Decided to try this instead of bubble tea next door and I am glad I did. I am very indecisive but finally decided to go with the... matcha shaved ice over the yuzu shaved ice. The portion size it just enough and tastes what a traditional Asian dessert issuppose to be like. Simple and tasty without having an overload of ingredients. I imagine if Starbucks did something similarthey would just overdo it. I was lucky I ordered when there was a lull cause after I ordered there were like 6 people that linedup. Amazing, high quality, and authentic matcha! Not overly bitter or sweet, and not much of a gritty feeling! A little pricey for... the size, and service was a little slow since there was only one employee working by himself. Light and refreshing drinks! Read more
