Their customer service is terrible. This is the second time I walked in to get a smoothie before 9pm. I walked in at 845 and... they told me they were closing. I know how it is to have customers walk in right before closing time I used to manage a highvolume retail store, unfortunately its the part of retail. I am a HUGE fan of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but let me be quite clear and say that I will NOT be returning to the Burtonsville... location. There are bright, colorful signs about smiling and kindness posted all around and the store is clean and decorated forChristmas, however the staff are anything but inviting or welcoming. You are always acknowledged at other locations, but theydidn?t even bother to speak when a customer entered. The young lady at the register took an order in front of me and then walkedaway. She eventually returned and took my order like she was getting a tooth pulled. I order the same meal pretty much everytime and it was 2 dollars higher here. It took 25 minutes for me to get a wrap? There was only one other customer. The wrap wasnot as stuffed as I?m used to and it wasn?t good at all. Just follow the recipe. The kale salad was literally a leaf of kale andan apple sliver. I am not exaggerating. One forkful and no more. It looked like it was a leftover from someone else. I wish Ichecked before leaving the store because I would not have accepted it. I didn?t eat it because it honestly looked like somethingyou throw away after eating a full container. I?m usually full after I eat here, but I was still hungry after this visit. I?m a delivery driver and I wouldn?t even recommend this particular location. I came to pick up a customers orders MINUTES... before closing. Wasn?t even closing hours yet and they were acting like they did not see me. Made eye contact with a lady with apink shirt on, locs, and she was a woman of color.
