I was so excited to get orange tofu, unfortunately it was very overcooked. The tofu was hard, tough, and chewy. My husband's... vegetable fried rice was very bland. My hot and sour soup had an odd chemical detergent like flavor so I was unable to eat it.My husband's egg drop soup was good, and the crab Rangoon were good. Unfortunately it tasted like my vegetable egg rolls hadpork in them. We are so disappointed. We received a flyer in the mail and thought we would give them a try. Sadly it was amistake. I was not impressed with this Chinese restaurant. The food was ok, but nothing crazy good. I recently moved to Byron Center from... Grand Rapids and thought I?d try this place since it is right down the road. First, the person on the phone was dismissive anda little rude. I was put off by it, but gave them the benefit of the doubt because sometimes, when things get busy, I understandthe frustration and lack of focus on tone-of-voice. I ordered chicken pad thai with mild spice, and a pint of hot and soursoup. I arrived to pick up my order, which was very quick and efficient. A little boy performed the transaction without anyproblems. When I got home to eat, the ?pad thai? that I ordered was more of a drunken noodle with chicken and random vegetables,definitely not pad thai and did not taste like it at all. Granted, this is a Chinese restaurant and not a Thai restaurant, so Iexpected as much. Just thought I?d try it. The food was good, I especially liked the hot and sour soup. It had more of avinegary taste than other restaurants, which I love. But, for over almost $20 I would expect a little better. We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and Beef Chow Mein with a side of Crab Ragoon. It was all for delivery. It came 30 minutes early... and it all tasted Fabulous. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Read more
We love this place!! Our go to for Chinese everytime! We have been ordering from here for years, pre Covid, during and after.... Always GREAT food, and you get so much for the price, always a couple of meals! Alot of reviews on here about kids answering thephone, bad service etc. We have never had a problem with our order being wrong, not getting something in our order or stalefood. Which is amazing! We are down to only a couple of places we will order from, and China Kitchen is it for Chinese food.Note we always order directly from the restaurant, never thru a delivery service.
