The best place on earth. All your bad feelings turn into good feelings. Everything is beautiful and everyone is happy and kind. I have no complaints.
We stayed in the cabins and it was a blast! The cabin was beautiful and had a great swimming spot down by the pier. We had so much fun and we will definitely be coming back. They had great pools and amazing food and some nights they would do free s?mores for the kids. Very nice resort
Great place to stay. Only issue was lack of receptacles beside the bed. I sleep with a cpap machine and there were none to be had. Food was great. breakfast was great, the whole stay was still worth the inconvenience. I would do it all over again.
This is one of our favorite stops and we often plan bike rides with a stop at the restaurant. ALL of their food is well prepared and good tasting. We love to stop for appetizers and a drink - our go to items are the cheese curds and walleye fingers. We take friends there for dinner and it has always been a wonderful experience. The view of the lake is beautiful and it is fun to talk out by the lake after a meal. It has been a number of years since we stayed in the hotel BUT it is an experience that we both fondly recall.
Lakewoods needs updating, the front entrance is a nice upgrade, hopefully the indoor pool is up next as well as the deck off the bar. We went to checkin and the cabin was not ready, due to short staffing. You think they would do something, even a free drink while we wait for our cabin to be ready, but nope. Pretty rude as well! Not staying here anymore!!!
The staff are super friendly. Here soon as we got into the room to unpack we found black mold on the ceiling, the porch doors are broken they don?t shut. We got moved to another room and we found hanging loose wires from the fan ceiling and also same problem with the porch doors not shutting. Definitely this hotel needs a upgrade bad with the guest rooms. Disappointed in our stay.
My friend and I and our 4 kids were stranded Saturday night on our snowmobiles in an ice storm. I was injured by a falling tree. We came across Lakewoods and Kari and her staff were very caring and accommodating to our needs. She really went above and beyond for us ensuring we were safe and warm and had a place to stay for the night. We really appreciate everything you did for us Kari! Btw, I went to the ER when I got home and no broken bones.
Lakewoods, the most memorable place for my family and snowmobiling. I have been going here since I was 2 years old with my grandparents, uncles, and cousins to ride snowmobiles. It was the hottest spot to go to in the winter. Usually we would stay at americinn in Hayward or in Cable after picking up our sleds. We would always order cheese curds, cherry cokes, and a bacon cheeseburger. I have not been up here in 14 years. Until January 7th of this year and it is still the most awesome place to hang out at. They have an indoor pool, hot tub, and a small arcade area next to the pool. They once had a pool table above the stairs but sadly, they had to take it down for more chair space. The lake side view is amazing to look out onto the lake. I love this place. Thank you Lakewoods, for all the memories and years I shared with my family here.
