I went to Blanco Catina Saturday evening and sat at the bar. I ordered their watermelon margarita and was impressed. It was... booze forward but still had incredible flavour. Ife, the bartender then made me an extra spicy raspberry & jalapeño marg and hegot the extra spicy right! Thanks Ife!! Jacob served us our fresh tilapia tacos that hit the spot and was kind enough to offerus suggestions to other great food spots in town while visiting. One of our favorite spots! The food isn't just great, it's authentic and well-made. I love the selection of margaritas - the... chili coconut is a vast crowd pleaser! The staff is always friendly, inviting and personable & takes the time to make sureyou're enjoying your time with them. We ordered one of every taco, and could not choose a favourite! The two contenders were themojo pork & mushroom, but the tilapia and Baja shrimp were close in second. Almost a great experience. Staff are great and very friendly and accommodating. Food was pretty tasty albeit a little spicy,... like even the guacamole which generally doesn't have added spice in most recipes. Was also a little disappointed that I was toldthey were out of vegan cheese so my burrito was a little plain. The mocktail TJ drink was very good. Overall it was a decentexperience so I only took 1 star away for the lack of vegan cheese and overly spicy guacamole which is just weird as I eat tonsof guacamole and never experienced that before. I would say we would still go back and hope for a bit better experience nexttime we do with perhaps a few more options for people who eat plant based or vegan as it's extremely common now a days. Half priced tacos during happy hour are definitely a must! Though the corn tortillas were a bit hard and the crispy tilapia was... over deep-fried that it became hard and difficult to chew on. Margaritas are pretty unique and quite good. Read more

We tried dining in after a not great take-out experience from another location. I had a virgin chili coconut margarita which... was oddly (in a good way) spicy while drinking from a glass of ice. My wife had a strawberry one. We shared the steak fajitasand enchiladas. The steak was perfectly cooked to a true medium. Although the tortillas were a tad small, we piled on the rice,beans, onions and peppers. It was very good and the extra napkins they brought out were much appreciated. There was plenty ofbarbacoa in the enchiladas and they were also very tasty. We ordered both desserts! I love churros and was excited to try thechurros chips. They had lots of cinnamon and came with caramel and cream cheese dips. The tres leches was more dry than we wouldhave liked though. Under $70 for 2 of the higher priced mains, 2 drinks and 2 desserts is hard to compete with! We had arotation of people serving us (up to 5) and had 3 of them stop by within 2 minutes asking us if we were interested in dessert.This led to a lot of repeated interruptions on our date night.
