Wonderfully warm feeling being here. Interior is decorated in cute flora/fauna/coconut manner. The food is good quality that... reminds me a lot of home style. Portions are great and reflective of price. There are a lot of specialty Asian soups here totarget different health components. I highly recommend the shredded chicken dishes. Service here is friendly and wonderful aswell. Although tucked away in a corner of a semi quiet mall, it is worth visiting this spot for their food and service. Read more
A taste of Hong Kong for sure. My partner and I decided to try this place for the first time while attending the China town... street festival. We stopped in for lunch and I gotta say this might be a new Goto for lunch. I ordered the beef brisket currywith rice and an appetizer of deep fried squid to start, and my partner ordered the shredded chicken and fish ball soup. Firstthe squid was quite good, very tender with the right amount of batter, I do wish it would have come with some sauce or dip onthe side, not a huge deal. As for the curry beef brisket, the beef was tender, the curry was really tasty and very on par withthe beef curry I had while in Hong Kong, the soup my partner ordered had a really good broth, the noodles were cooked justright and the fish balls a nice addition. All in all I definitely recommend stopping here for a lunch or dinner. It was quitegood. POLAR BEAR KITCHEN - inside Dragon City Mall in Chinatown. Ordered Sizzling Beef (black pepper sauce) on Rice #31 and Signature... Salty Shredded Chicken on Rice #21. The beef had a really deep flavour and was nice and saucy and the chicken was tender and hada yummy ginger sauce on top. Broccoli had a touch of black bean and was done al dente (good thing). The server was superknowledgeable and friendly, telling us all about the guests' favourite dishes. She also gave us a sample of the peach resin milkwhich she said was super healthy. Next time we want to try their signature soup and/or the special which was soup served insidea coconut and the curry chicken or beef. Read more
