While visiting the city, I wanted to go to BBQ place for lunch. I called this Kenny’s restaurant thinking that it was the... other one that was closer to me. The woman on the other end of the phone was sooooo helpful and understanding, because…. I’mnot from Chicago… I didn’t know exactly which one to go to until she cleared it up for me. She was very helpful to make surewhere my hotel was located was worth the drive to her store versus the other, due to my tight schedule for my visit. I reallyappreciate her for having the time to help me because I know it was busy as helllll in there during lunch time! But she handledthe call so beautifully! Thank you so much! Read more

The ONLY reason I’m giving this restaurant 4 stars is strictly for the cashier. The young lady with the glasses was so patient... with me, I told her this was my first time being in this location and she told me to take my time. She walked away to completeother orders I’m assuming. And then a bald head man walked to the window and asked me was I ready to order yet or was I justgoing to stand there, very rude. I told him I’m still looking and he turned and walked off. The young lady with the glassescame back and took my order while explaining things to me about the menu. She took her time and even when I wasn’t able tounderstand why the bald man was so rude to me, she apologized and thanked me for coming in. I see a few bad reviews but maybeeveryday isn’t a good day, especially if she has to work with that rude man. The food was amazing. I’ll be back buthopefully she’s there and not him. Read more
So Kenny's has been in business for a long time but today is my 1st time trying them. The only reason is because my mother... wanted some BBQ and I thought I'd try it. Well I'm glad I did because their dressing and 4 cheese mac is delicious. Most soulfood restaurants are either a hit or a HUGE miss so I tend to avoid them. Kenny's is you read this, please stick to what you'redoing and you'll have a repeat customer in me. Read more

I visited this restaurant on 11/15/22 after speaking with a young lady on the phone about a catering order for thanksgiving. The... young lady told me to come in and speak with the owner about prices for larger packages than they offered. I can’t rememberher name but she offered me amazing help the previous morning when I called. I would love to give HER 5 stars! I’m giving 4stars because of the bald head man which I’m assuming is the owner and the skinny chick that works at night. I’m not sure ifthey are in a relationship or not but when a customer comes in we don’t need to be standing here waiting to be acknowledgedbecause those two want to stand there and talk about other things. I informed the tall skinny chick on why I was there and who Ineeded to speak to and she walked away and began talking to someone else again. Then the bald man came over and asked me had Ibeen taken care of and I told him no yet he didn’t help me either. I wish I had gotten there before the other young lady thatworks in the morning left. If you want real help I suggest going into that restaurant before 5pm or you’re just wasting yourtime. Read more
