Came here for a date night on Friday evening, and dine out Boston. The food was good but not great. Moreover, there were too... many delays that could not offset the quality of said food. We sat down at the table and waited 30 min before someone came andgot our drink orders. To expedite, we ordered our food items as well. The appetizers - the gazpacho and heirloom tomato saladwere good and light. The duck was cooked well, but paired with too many salty items, therefore making it seem salty as you areit. The dessert - the cookies and cream dish - was saved by the ice cream and not much else. The price afterward did notvalidate based on what we ate. Lovely meal with attentive service. Oysters to start (limited to 2 local selections), lamb tartare and honeydew melon gazpacho... all well balanced and flavorful. Absolutely loved eating here. My server, Colleen, was attentive, friendly and very helpful. If you dine alone frequently, like I... do, that isn't always so therefore I'd recommend this place for that alone. However there is so much more to recommend it for! Iwent for starters and dessert because I saw their pastry chef, Joshua, on Best Baker in America. So I didn't want to fill upbefore dessert! The potato and garlic soup was robust and flavorful. My hibiscus pavlova was to die for. The mango sorbet had asmall kick. The meringue was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.
