Disappointing to say the least. Waited forever for someone to come to us, the waitresses stayed at the bar.. Then Waited over 30... minutes for water and to have our order taken.. Once we finally got everything and food, over an hour later no one checked inwith us or anything. This wasn't even during a busy time, was about 3pm but they only attended to the people at the bar. Wewaited for someone to coke bring us our bill but eventually sick of waiting we asked someone. Waitresses didn't seem very politeeither, Hard to tell, no one really acknowledged us. Tables were super sticky. Waste of my time and money. Again superdisappointed Read more

This used to be ?my place?. I like the food. After today, never again. I always used to get one particular waitress who was... always great. Today?..the blonde who works the weekend lunch shift. We left an 18% tip. As we were leaving, we heard hercomplaining to her coworker in a voice loud enough to be heard by all about our cheap tip. Her coworker responded in a similarderogatory way. A tip is a tip, not a mandatory 25% extra. The entitlement of wait staff these days has gotten out of control. I certainly do not need to ever go back to a place where they loudly heckle you for leaving 18%. Read more

Pretty new to Cambridge. Wanted to find a new ?go to? pub for good food and drinks. Our first experience was good, but Last night... we stopped in wanting some drinks and appetizers. The place only had a few patrons and Our server was the bartender. We weregiven menus and we ordered a couple of drinks. We wanted to order food but she did not come and check on us for over 30 minutesand Our glasses were empty. She was leaning with her elbow on the bar holding up her head so I guess she was too overwhelmed togive attentive service. No excuse! At this point we had to call her over to get the bill and told her we wanted to ordersomething but at this point just wanted to leave. We?ve been to many establishments where the staff are run off their feet yetmy glass is never empty and they?re always attentive and personable. Very disappointed and don?t know if we?ll give them anotherchance. Read more

We were in town from Hamilton and decided upon the Black Badger. We were not disappointed with our choice as both the food and... service was rather excellent. In fact the fries were so good that I mentioned to the server that we would return just for themalone. I ordered the Steak 'n Mushroom Stuffed Yorkie. It came with tender chunks of braised beef smothered in tasty gravy andwhole button mushrooms served inside a giant Yorkshire pudding. Homestyle mashed potatoes and broccolini rounded out the dish. The dish was an absolute winner as I devoured the entire thing. My wife ordered the Classic Burger and added Brie Cheese for anadditional $2.99 which was worth every penny. A solid tasty patty served on a quality potato scallion bun. The accompanyingfries were oh so good. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and moist inside. In my mind the perfect french fry. A sidecoleslaw for $1.99 we added and it was well worth it. It was the creamy variety and I knew just by looking at it that it wasmade in house. We both had colas to drink and the bill came to a very respectable $46. The service was very attentive andcheerful but not contrived. It was very genuine which goes a long way with me. We will definitely return despite the fact thatwe live 45 minutes away. Highly recommend the Black Badger. I promise that you will not be disappointed. Read more
