This restaurant serves best Indian food We had so far in Alberta and Toronto. Friendly staff. The guy who helped us with their... famous dishes was on point! The guy was knowledgeable and very helpful in selecting the dishes best for your requirements. Must try their Undhyu curry. It reminded me of my mom. Also try their Garlic naan. I would definitely recommend this restaurantfor a great dining experience. Enjoy mountain views from outdoor seating and equally good ambiance indoor seating! Washroomswere clean. The best Indian food I have eaten not only in the Banff/Canmore region but also in Canada. We visited in 2021 when it was newly... opened and had limited items on the menu. However the dishes were made to perfection and reminded us of our time back home. Veryfew places in North America manages such a feat in my opinion. Many visitors staying in Banff know little of this hidden gemand need to take a quick drive to canmore for mumbai local and know what Indian food the restaurant has to offer. Dishes tried- misal pav, sweet potato chat, sabudana popcorns, dal makhani etc. The owner was amazing to meet and talk to. The staff wasvery pleasant and had the most amazing experience. We had an awkward welcome to the restaurant, however, the review is about the food and the service. 5 stars for the Food i.e.... portion, taste, quality and freshness of produce. Maybe the person serving us assumed we weren?t aware of the gratuity and madea harsh comment which made us almost walk out of the restaurant right upon our arrival. We decided to stay and give therestaurant a chance. I?m glad we stayed over for some delicious food. We had 1-Missal Pav, 2-Pav Bhaji, 3- Egg curry, 4- Palakpaneer, 5- Dal, Rice and Naan. Pictures might not justify the taste. We appreciate all the efforts by the staff in order toserve us some delicious food. Food is fairly priced, with good portions and fresh produce. The only two things we did providethem the feedback - 1. Tea was served at room temperature and when talked about it, they accepted their mistake and apologizedright away. 2. Making assumptions and commenting about the gratuity upon our entry was something we didn?t anticipate norappreciate. Must try the Indian food at Mumbai Local when you are visiting Canmore/Banff. Food is delicious and presentation is amazing....
