My other family members enjoyed their meals, despite being cold. We ate outside in the sun as it was colder inside with all the... doors opened. I had the clam chowder in bread bowl and didn?t like it much. It was too thick and full of potatoes, and I barelysaw a clam. I didn?t think it was tasty either, and I am typically very easy with food. I also didn?t enjoy the smoked musselsas some were full of sand. My family members had the crab cakes and fried oysters, and they were really good. Fries were crispy.The prawns were also fresh and good. Service was really quick. Read more
Very popular seafood place but probably not for people who cares about healthy diet. Good variety of seafood - crab, shrimp,... salmon, calamari and scallops. Couldn?t really tell the seafood quality because most of the dishes are deep fried. Coleslaw wasreally good. Read more
Truly good fried seafood can be deceptively difficult to find in a tourist-heavy coastal town, especially at the height of a... busy season, but we were very happy with the entire menu! Everything was fried and seasoned perfectly but the scallops were aparticularly joyful experience. Don't miss the clam chowder that manages to be gluten free, bacon free, and delicious byfocusing on the star - the clams! Fresh, tasty seafood to eat in or take out or take home. Ecola seafoods has a great selection. We bought shrimp cocktail, crab... and shrimp boats and ceviche to take out and enjoy by the beach. Everything was super fresh and the sauce they provided wasbetter than your typical cocktail sauce or aioli. We also bought smoked salmon and mussels to take to friends and family. Theygave us ice to keep it cold (we didn?t have a cooler). Staff is helpful and friendly. We love this store and buy their seafoodwhen we?re visiting. The atmosphere was what really made this place great. I was a little disappointed to see so many frozen items in the front case,... it made me think they were using all the frozen items to make the hot items for the dining in customers. I got the crab cakesand the chowder. The chowder had HUGE chunks of clam in it which was amazing. The crab cakes lacked in flavor a little bit(again possibly from being frozen). The upstairs patio was absolutely lovely. We got to share a table with a couple othercouples and the conversation was really pleasant and everyone was so kind.
