This place was great! we made a reservation and they took us right away and there is valet parking. We got appetizers and they... were great! the calamari was great so were deviled eggs! The service was great and they came back and filled our watersmultiple times! I got the New York strip steak and it was amazing! It also came with potatoes and broccolini! The steak wasgreat and had good flavor and was not chewy! I also tried the veil and it was one of the best things ever! It had amazing flavorand was very juicy! My fiancé and I have started the tradition of vacationing to Cape May. This is our second year and we will continue to make... sure The Ebbitt Room is one of our stops… if not multiple times throughout the trip. The food, drinks, and service neverdisappoint. We dined two times during our 4 night stay and were lucky enough to have Andy as our server both times. He wasknowledgeable about everything from food and drinks to the best spots to sit on the porch. My fiancé ordered the Japanese Wayguspecial and wasn’t sure what wine to pair with it. Without hesitation, Andy found him the perfect glass. I also have somedietary restrictions and Andy made sure I was able to eat what I wanted to order. I 100% recommend the Ebbitt Room and 120%recommend asking for Andy. On top of it all, it was really nice to see the Executive Chef step out onto the porch while dinnerwas taking place. We were full of anticipation after reading most of the reviews. Starting with the positives… the ambiance is great. The... building is beautiful and the vibe is really relaxed and charming. The service was satisfactory to good. Unfortunately, themeals were very average. I’ve had better steaks at Outback. My wife’s snapper was okay but nothing special. The dessert wasalso just very average. So in summary if ambiance is what you’re after then you will be pleased. If you are looking for atruly exceptional culinary experience, this isn’t it. I’ve been there many times over the years but last nights dinner was truly magnificent. From refreshing drinks on the porch to... the Keylime pie for dessert, everything was so tasty.
