My husband and I went there for our honeymoon dinner and the food was absolutely incredible from the warm rolls, our entrees, to... the dessert. The atmosphere is very cozy, comfortable, and elegant. There was a man playing the piano in the background whichreally set the mood. They even gave us a sweet card for a wedding congratulations. Highly recommend!! Read more

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Food was just bad. Lobster bisque wasn’t even lukewarm. There’s no excuse for that.... That cast a cloud over the rest of dinner. The house salad was reviewed as special but it was literally just a pile of babyspinach and a couple of pistachios. The scallops weren’t thoroughly cooked; it’s an art to get them right, I know, but theycertainly did not. Sauce was too harsh/acidic for them. Don’t know what they were thinking. Prime rib was good. Fish stuffingwas unique and flavorful (hint of orange ?) Crème brûlée was good. Other desserts were fine, nicely presented commercialgrade except for the shortcake which was unique. A lot of money for mostly crummy food. Read more

Last night after spending the day in Maine we stopped in at Clay Hill Farm for drinks, dessert and to hear Katherine elegantly... playing the piano before our drive home. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, bartender and had our own piano concert in thelounge. It was wonderful to see familiar faces again and to be in a historical building that I love. In a world with so muchchange it was comforting and refreshing to be able to be a part of history where the owners have preserved it so nicely in theoriginal farm building. I love Clay Hill because it is unique and preserves a piece of history. It is not just a standardgeneric restaurant as most have become modernized. The blueberry shortcake and lemon creme brulee were delicious as were thedrinks especially the New Old Fashioned. Katherine took requests on the piano and for a little while it was a wonderful escapeback in time. I can't wait to go back soon and plan dinner the next time! Read more
