We planned to dine at Thomas’s Diner but it was so crowded, so we headed to The Royale, which also has great reviews. It was... located next to Holiday Inn and customers can also use hotels’ parking lot. The decor is humble, clean and bright with plentyof seating & wide space. Their menu was decent and solid as an Indian restaurant. We had Harabara Kebab as appetizer, Lamb Chop& Fish Curry as our entree and Gulab jamun for dessert. The food was overall delicious with good portion to share with a groupof two. Our favorite was the Fish Curry, the fish was tender and the curry was rich. The dessert was also great, satisfying eventhough it was super sweet. The staff was super friendly and considerate especially for Alice. This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in New York. The service is exemplary, the food is delicious and the drinks... are outstanding. Ayesha, our hostess was incredible! She values the guests and comes up with wonderful recommendations and witha bright smile on her face. Lamar made the cocktails and they were delicious, each of them. Loved the crispy chicken wings andmalai tikka. Also, the bhuna goat was delicious. Will be back soon to try something else from the menu. I hope this time youguys will have ice cream available.
