Haven?t been to Miguel?s in years and this was a nice reunion. I used to go to the one in Coronado but this time we stopped in... after Legoland and it was just as good. I?m usually a taco shop type person and don?t go to sit down Mexican restaurants often.We were quoted a 50 minute wait because it was happy hour but they seated us in 15 minutes. Our waiter was very nice and helpfulwith the menu. We love the chips and jalapeño cheese sauce and the salsa, it was as good as we remembered. I got the ChiliVerde with corn and flour tortillas, they make the corn tortillas in house. They were very good but I like the corn tortillasbetter than the flour. The Chili Verde had a good spice to it which wasn?t too hot but definitely noticeable. I also like theirbeans and the rice was good too. My daughter had a chicken and a beef enchilada which she devoured. My son had two fish tacoswhich looked amazing and he ate every bit of them. My wife got a combination platter El jefe, with Carne Asada a tamale and anenchilada and she ate every bit of it and loved it. I tried the Carne Asada which was cooked perfectly medium rare which is hardto do with such a thin cut of beef. So juicy and tender, and full of flavor. The tamale was awesome and not dry and theenchilada was good too. I had a space dust and the kids ordered two virgin mango daiquiris but they were too sour for them. Mywife ordered a piña colada and it was awesome. We wish we had room for dessert but it wasn?t in the cards. All the staff wasvery friendly and helpful the place was clean and the bathroom was nice. Miguel's was spectacular. We sat at the bar and got margaritas, they were so delicious! Hugo helped us out and we ordered the... empanadas, they were a must have! And the trip fajitas, the chicken, shrimp and portobello mushrooms all cooked to perfection!It's beautiful inside with all the unique art and decor.
