Tucked in at the east end of Carmel Valley Village, you could easily drive right past as you anticipate the epic drive out... Carmel Valley Road towards Arroyo Seco and on to Greenfield... BUT YOU'D BE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE!!! The Running Iron not onlyhas that very Western, Cowboy type vibe, its walls are covered with history that backs it up!! Oh yeah, and then there's theFOOD!!! I've tried multiple menu options and have NEVER been disappointed! Among my favorites are ANY of the burgers, the Reubensandwich, and the GOBBLER!! YUMMY!!! And who doesn't appreciate excellent, friendly service?!? Perfect stop at the end of adrive or motorcycle ride if you came FROM the east, or a last stop for a bite and potty break before that awesome ride/driveheading east (one of my favorites!) Who knows, you might just wanna stop for lunch on your way out and again for dinner on yourway back!! Ha ha!!! You gotta visit at least once!! ENJOY!! BTW, if you're on a motorcycle, DON'T miss the Moto TalbottMotorcycle Museum just a few doors away. SPECTACULAR collection of rare and vintage motorcycles. Read more
