We have been customers of Kindred since it opened. Regular users even during covid. Unfortunately within the last year the... quality of their sandwiches has gone down. After several visits to allow for an off day the result is the same. The Reuben Iordered today, while generous in size, the corned beef had an off taste. Quality was not great. Disappointing when you know howfresh and good their sandwiches used to be. On a positive note, bakery items are good and wait staff was friendly. Read more

I love this local market/cafe. The iced and hot coffee are to die for, the baked goods are fantastic, and they have a diverse... menu with both gluten free and vegan options. This is a truly inclusive little shop that does its best to promote local productsand serve those with dietary restrictions. At the crossroads of Rte121 and Rte 11 in Casco,ME is this lovely quaint sandwich,coffee,and bakery. We stopped by to have some... lunch and I was surprised by the smells and atmosphere of the place. I felt like I had stepped back in time. All wait staff wereknowledgeable and efficient, they had to be as it was very busy. We ordered our sandwiches,coffee,and of course a WHOPPIEPIE,raspberry/lemon. You could actually taste the lemon and the raspberry in each bite. It was the star of the show! Forsandwiches we ordered the chicken salad on white and the spicy Italian. All ingredients in the sandwiches were fresh,nothingsitting pre-made. Just a couple of pricklies though...the chicken salad was fresh and tasty but was missing something that wouldhave set it apart from something you could make at home. The spicy Italian was missing,in my opinion, more inside the two piecesof a dry roll. A piece of ham maybe. The vegetables in the sandwich were great but a little skimpy. Read more
