I was driving through Castroville late one night and stopped at one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants Li Yuen, right by... the Missing Hole Donut Shop. I ordered a combo plate to go and ate it in my car. As I was sitting and eating I saw a man, hiswife, and their two little girls pull up to the donut shop, delighted to buy some donuts. Unfortunately, the donut shop hadjust closed. The girls dropped their heads in defeat and trudged back to the car.. that is until a worker opened up the doorand called the dad over. He let the family in and gave them an entire box of donuts to cheer them up. The worker and the ownerof the donut shop waved the family goodbye, and the little girls had the biggest smiles. Apple fritter, chocolate, cinnamon roll and cinnamon sugar donut were delicious! Also owner was really friendly ????
