What a wonderful experience. The service, the wine, the food, all five stars. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was... attentive and abundantly friendly, and the rest of the staff, including the manager were all incredible and making sure we werehappy each step of the way. So far, my favorite fine dining spot in Austin. Read more

Flavor: F Service: C Cocktails: A Solo dining: F You'd think this place would wow you but I had quite the opposite experience.... It's really expensive and disappointing. My salad was fine but nothing unique or impressive. The snapper was flavorless andpartially dry. The smoky old fashioned was great but all else left me looking for a late night snack. Read more

I was so excited to try this restaurant after spending a relaxing day at the spa but was extremely disappointed. I had the... hydroponic greens and brown buttered filet. My husband had seared scallops and the waygua steak. Each plate had amazingpotential but poorly executed. My salad was under dressed and my husband's scallops smelled VERY fishy which indicates not asfresh as they could be. Both of our steaks were under seasoned and honestly smelled weird - potentially old meat. All I know iswe skipped dessert and I had a stomachache later that evening. Service was great and atmosphere nice but food fell flat. Read more

The food and their cocktails were excellent! It was an interesting dinning experience to be able to watch the chef's and kitchen... staff at work preparing the food. We'll be back. The only disappointment was that they would not let us bring our own wine eventhough they did not offer it. I was happy to pay a corking fee we just wanted to enjoy a particular higher end wine they did notoffer... Read more

First time to visit Stories Restaurant at Hyatt Lost Pines Resort. It was our 25th wedding anniversary. Approaching the... restaurant it is a little offsetting that the hostess station is located outside the closed doors. After being sat it tookquite a bit of time to get water and then much longer to get our drinks. Once our waitress was established things wentsmoothly. She was great, I think her name is April? Not real sure. Now to the food. . . My husband was intrigued with theribeye steaks and the difference between the Wagyu Ribeye and the Angus Ribeye. Our waitress claimed that the Wagyu was moretender, more flavorful and just all over better steak. The steak was good but not what he was expecting. I ordered the Chef'sCreation Sea Scallops. The plate looked wonderful. I have only had scallops a couple of times so not an expert with what isconsidered under or overcooked. I gave my husband half of one of my scallops and he could not eat it. He claimed they wereundercooked. There was grit in the scallops as well. We sat outside and it was a beautiful evening. The whole experience wasokay but not worth the price tag. Read more
