New update...jambalaya has tons of sausage and chicken but overall quite bland. Shrtacos ok but again, bland. The star is the... hushpuppies! Update to one star from five. We came back today to a very slimmed down menu (expected)...food is still prettygood (do not get the crawfish queso-it's runny and tasteless). However, not a single member of the staff was wearing a mask. There was no social distancing among the staff as they congregated and visited. No gloves on the kitchen staff. We observedstaff members running their fingers through their hair, biting their nails (we found out later she's their GM!!) and sneezingand then serving food. Two of the wait staff wore face coverings under their chins. There was a class of some sort being taughtin their private room and not a single person had a face covering. Dear owner...you need to be here and you need a bettermanager. What a great place to spend an afternoon! Incredible food...just the right spice for those of us fron Louisiana! Maybea bit spicy for non-cajuns. Small frozen drinks (margaritas and hurricanes) are $10 and pack a punch! Small-ish draft beer is$3.75. We had jambalaya, drowning Catfish, hush puppies and crawfish bread. Owner..from Gonzales LA brought complimentarybread pudding (soon to be on the menu--I would recommend Blue Bell ice cream). Overall fantastic and we WILL be back! Read more

Ordered the Cajun pasta... little to no chicken in it... combo with shrimp.. even less. Sauce had great flavor, the rest was... worthless. Oysters were better than the main entree. Stick with the hushpuppies! Read more

We?ve been here a few times and have also ordered to go. I rate it as a 4 due to service issues a couple of times we?ve been... there. (But willing to change if the next time we go is better.) The ambiance is pretty cool, the decorations are very eclecticand whimsical. The food is pretty darn good, I think I?ve gotten the étouffée almost every time because-obsessed. Theappetizer menu I think could be a little better. It?s kinda hard to find stuff for our picky kids here which is why we don?tfrequent. Something different in a sea of fast food, Mexican restaurants and pizza in the area! Read more

I honestly don?t where to begin. I?m currently sitting here after waiting 15 minutes for a hurricane. The employees and cooks... are outside when they could be cleaning or cooking. Managers are helping themselves to food at other tables, bartenders aresitting at the bar not cleaning just watching tv. The servers are to worried about their personal phones and putting stickers oneach other. There are no other customers in the restaurant, but already 25 minutes for food. After getting our food: thejambalaya is completely disappointing, it?s more like dirty rice with sausage and chicken(which was $4 for two tiny drytenders). The gumbo is watery and over salted. The chicken basket is completely oily, and over fried. After leaving and paying,We just made it home and both of us have gotten sick. The only redeeming thing: they were playing good music and the food washot. Read more
