This is an old favorite. Radio Maria has great food, great beer list, and we love the atmosphere and music. In the past, I've... only visited during the evenings or later nights. My family and I most recently decided to visit on a Sunday around 2pm. We wereable to get right in given the time. We missed the brunch crowd and basically had a whole side of the restaurant to ourselves.My daughter is vegan, and in the past I remembered vegetarian options. They did have vegetarian options, but no vegan options onthe menu. The server worked with the chef to find options and were able to amend one of the menu items to accommodate her needs.When the rest of us went to order, 2 of us were told that they were out of the meals we'd chosen. We chose something else andagain were told they were out. In the end, the meals we got we're delicious. While portion sizes were a bit small, everyone lefthappy and had only good things to say about what they got. Our beers were crafty and there were a wide variety from manydifferent breweries (both local and regional). This visit was enjoyable, as expected. Champaign has a lot of great restaurants, and Radio Maria is definitely one of them. The food options generally consist of... items and combinations you can't find anywhere else, and the menu changes consistently enough that you'll see new things everyonce in a while. Beyond that, the specials are always enticing, especially during brunch. The staff is great in every way, aswell, always willing to strike up conversation and able to give great recommendations. Come here for a nice dinner for datenight, an interesting drink with friends, a rich brunch with family, or come alone and enjoy the staff and the atmosphere. Read more

I did notice the chef walking around the bar and kitchen in pajama lounge pants and cooking with no gloves or a mask and he has... a really long beard right over the food he's preparing. I'd be cautious about sanitation concerns if ordering food. So I'm gladI only had a drink which was really good and refreshing. The bartender was really good and quick. Read more
