This weekend we stayed in Charles Town and decided to stop in and get some flights from the Abolitionist Ale Works. What a fantastic selection of beers and some ciders too. My girlfriend enjoyed about 80% of the selections we picked.. Great Flavor, excellent levels of alcohol content and we like they serve their flights in their own glassware which is fantastic.. Large Serving sizes for their flights too.. The place is small, if you sit at a table you have to order from the bar area.. But the lady working the bar area would come check on us to see if we wanted anything else.. If you're in Charles Town, Highly Recommend this place!

I go here for an after-work beer or to enjoy time with both local and out-of-town friends. I like to try different things and it's a good place to try weird beers. To be honest, some of the beers I've tried haven't been to my taste, but trying them all has helped me discover what my taste _is_, so that's great. Turns out I like really really sour beer, and they always have at least one. The food menu is built around white bread: pizza, sandwiches, and pretzels.

We absolutely loved this brewery! The sours were unique and I couldn?t get enough. Thank you for the awesome service too :) Cheers!

Lovely brewery with good sandwiches and snacks. The caprese panini was really good. I enjoyed the pils as the IPAs weren?t all my style but the tastings are nice so you can decide for yourself.

Stopped to try this place out while on a road trip from Delaware. Really cool location in downtown Charlestown WV. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. The location, service, and food are all excellent! The beer is average. It consistently smells better than it tastes. That being said, the brewery is still a great place to visit for it's other qualities. Check it out!

Very reasonably priced. Super friendly staff. I loved how easy the menu was. Not overwhelmed with choices. The fig fig pizza is AMAZING. Very fun place to get lunch and hang out with friends.

Full caveat, this is a review of the beer at the brewery. I have not tried the food here but would go back again to try it out. The beer is great, they have something for everyone but the majority of their taps when I was there was geared toward fruity sours and IPAs.

We love it here! We tend to go in the early afternoon and my 3 kids run around and play on the patio area. I love the pizza on naan bread and we always get a flight because they have such a variety of styles of beer. The staff is always so sweet to my kids.
