Went there today, Saturday morning with the family and had a great experience. Home cook country style. We enjoy the simple... dining experience. They?re short on staff but the servers are at their best to accommodate everyone. Thanks to them and I can?tcomplain. The portions are more than great. Eggs are real, not boxed. Abundance of coffee and our server checking on us if weneed anything. Thanks! Will go there again. Read more

We've been here several times and enjoyed it. Now since COVID, we've come to expect long wait times, understaffed kitchens, and... slow service anytime we eat out. If we choose to eat out, we expect those things. Mountain View is no different. This pastSaturday we were seated at 6:15 and we didn't leave till 8:30. Please read on. If you're mad about the wait, it is happeningeverywhere! We had my in-laws with us and they refused to let us help with the bill. She took the bill and paid before we got achance to ask about details. We find out all three of our kids were charged for their drinks at $3.30 a drink. They all orderedfrom the kids menu and it says right on the menu that kids meals include a drink. We checked before we left. The manager refusedto refund us the $9.90 for three drinks. We were told to take it out of the waitress's tip. I can handle the understaffedkitchen, I can handle the slow service, I can handle spending two hours eating out. There's no excuse for being dishonest andripping customers off. If there was a problem making the register right, then give us a coupon or gift card to use our nextvisit. Or send us home with a few slices of cheesecake. If any of those attempts had been made, you wouldn't be reading thisreview. Read more

Dessert Case (peach cheesecake) was the highlight! Our waitress & the cashier were both friendly ladies. Food was not hot or... flavorful mostly because it seemed pre-made & microwaved not fresh also the dining area was freezing cold on a 70* evenin' Read more

We keep trying to give this place another chance and just keep regretting it. I?ll start with the pros: the staff is generally... sweet and friendly, and they have a good variety of delicious desserts. Unfortunately the rest of the food is mediocre and youcould very well wait over an hour for it. My husband ordered an omelet and I had a chicken salad wrap with chili and fries. Thefood took FOREVER and we watched people who were sat after us get their food before us and people who got sat directly before usfinish eating before we got our food, although several of the tables around us were also marveling over how long their food wastaking. The chicken salad tasted pasty like it was taken out of a can and then blended on high for several minutes. The chiliwas decent but came to me room temperature and had to be reheated. The fries were limp and squishy. The western omelette wasaverage but the grits that came with it were watery. Previous visits were comparable, and that?s saying a lot because I am veryfar from a picky eater and am generally quite easy to please. If you want to come have a chat with the nice staff or grab somedessert to go, by all means do it. Otherwise?you may want to eat literally anywhere else. Read more
