Right in the center of it all! No matter where you are in downtown Charleston, this place is convenient. Located inside the... Belmond Hotel. Belmond has an entrance on King and Meeting. This restaurant is on the Meeting St side, hence the name. We didn'twant to wait so we sat at the bar. It was Saturday afternoon and crowded. We had great service. The food was awesome. We had avegan meal there. You have to ask and look at side dishes and appetizers. But still, we had a vegan meal. The French onionbruscetta was amazing! Seasonal dishes available. Full bar. NOT under staffed! Yeah! The perfect place to sit by the windowand people watch. Also, nice couchy tables in the back. Almost forgot about all the TV's to watch whatever sport you're into. Came here for our first night in Charleston and I can't say enough about our late evening meal. The staff was friendly, the food... good and the environment pleasant. We were able to watch the NCAA games and Oscars at the same time. Our waiter was so pleasantand knowledgeable about the menu. We got the fish tacos which they were willing to put in a lettuce wrap due to a gluten allergyand the street corn was tasty. We enjoyed a glass of wine which we ended up purchasing a bottle.
