If I had to pick a great restaurant with atmosphere, superb intimate bar (great bourbon and wine selections obviously chosen... specifically), charm and outstanding food and service it would be Muse. This is a dining experience not a meal. Interestingsucculent fish, fresh pasta, eggplant, meats, duck, heirloom tomatoes with Barata, and risotto all have a special touch and aresourced locally per Donnie who knows how to please a customer. A staff that is attentive, well trained and fun add to thecareful attention to detail that seems natural. Donnie is hands on and makes the meal memorable, but not smothering like someowners. He enhances every aspect of Muse and loves to have you join him. You feel like your the only one there in a packedhouse. The Muse team are like seasoned jazz musicians riffing, but staying within the rhythm that will allow for consistency.Wish we lived in Charleston so we could go more often. my friend and I are visiting charleston, and we had the best time at muse! we had a 9:15 reservation, definitely one of the last... of the night, but never once felt rushed. our server, hailey, was so nice and was an expert on the menu! she made greatrecommendations for both food and wine. everything was so delicious! the ambiance was great and the old house the restaurant isin is so charming. 10/10 would recommend. While on our evening walk earlier this week we happened upon a cute little restaurant off of King Street. Peering through the... window for a better look, we spotted a small room with a semi-circular bar that was surrounded by baroque artwork. We decidedwe needed to eventually check this place out, and when doing so we would sit at that bar! So, we paid them a visit. Beforedoing so, I called ahead and spoke with the general manager who could not have been nicer. I explained this would be my wife'sfinal dinner before going in for what would be months of medical treatment which will render her unable to dine out, and we justwant to have a special night. He said to ask for him when we arrive and he will take care of us. Without getting intospecifics, he went above and beyond. I'll say this though. Our evening sitting at the bar was everything we hoped for....andmore. The bartender, a dead ringer for Ted Lasso in both looks and spirit, was delightful and we bantered with him and fellowguests for hours. We even met a nice couple who live near my home town. The night was social and fun, the food and drinkwonderful, and the entire experience just what the doctor ordered. "Muse" holds a special place in our hearts and we can't waitto return. Read more
Wonderful. Donny was great.Food was absolutely delicious. Reason for 4 not 5 is party of 9 very loud blokes in our small room... (restaurant is in an old house) were obnoxious, like they owned the place, especially 2 males who were totally loud. Wouldrecommend though. Read more

First time going here on a date and it was not only amazing food but an awesome experience! Good prices for a nice dinner out as... well. Thank you Donny for the amazing food selection you made for us. Thank you to Katie as well! Great ambience, people, andlove that the place is inside of one of the many classic and historic Charleston homes on Society St. We enjoyed a deliciouswhipped feta/spinach+veggie flake, followed by the grilled duck breast, bolognese, and the special crispy sea bass laid on topof gnocchi and a lovely lobster sauce with chunks of lobster!
