This was the first restaurant we ate at in Charleston and it did not disappoint! We had a bigger party and didn’t have a... reservation and they were very accommodating. The pulled chicken salad was savory and flavorful! And the fries (sweet potato andregular) were the best we’ve ever had! Definitely recommend coming here! Read more
Was looking for BBQ and reviews said this was the best in Charleston. Venue is nice and welcoming. Place was very busy. Our... waiter was friendly and attentive. Menu is limited and the BBQ was ok. I had the pulled chicken sandwich but it wasn’tpulled chicken as in shredded (which is what I was expecting) but rather chunks and pieces of chicken on a bun that looked likeit was boiled. It wasn’t seasoned at all. There were 2 sauces on the table which weren’t labeled and I couldn’t tell thedifference (if theres was one) between them. They were mustard based and runny. I opted for the sweet potato wedges which weregood and had a hint of cinnamon sugar. The others in the party seemed also thought their food was ok; nothing to write homeabout. Food was average at best. *** on the bottom of the menu was a message stating they were charging 3% above the printedmenu prices because of inflation. After doing the historical tour in Charleston, we were hungry for lunch. Another tourist recommended Poogan’s so we checked it... out. Everything was amazing!
