I come here every weekend to get a huge cinnamon roll or c chocolate croissant, and I read my book. All of the servers are... excellent, friendly, and attentive. I couldn?t recommend this place more to a traveler since there is so much history at thisbakery. It is the longest running bakery in Charleston, and they deserve it! Read more
Probably the BIGGEST dessert options around! Cakes, pastries, cookies, e.t.c.... They also serve lunch/ brunch/dinner. There... is a small area where they sell actual loaves of bread. Also an area for spices and other food items fit cooking athome. There's a covered outside seating area and large inside eating area. Even larger groups of 10 to 12 could beaccommodated. It's walking distance from the library, Aquarium and theatres. Parking in back with pay meter. Super smallparking area in front. Vegetarian friendly options CON : NO KIDS MENU. Read more
always excellent food - we're especially big fans of the dessert! the outside seating is very pretty.
Before going to a show at the Galliard center we decided to get a bite to eat. So we tried Saffron cafe?, and I will say the... food was very delicious! Two of us ordered the spicy curry shrimp dinner and one ordered the saffron chicken dish. Yyyuuuummmm!!And then the desserts!??amazing!!! Yasss!! ???? The reason for the four stars was the service. We ate outside and sometimes ourserver was MIA and when we finally got our food it was cold. When the dessert was ordered it took 20 minutes for her to bring itout. I still gave a good tip, but not sure why the service was so slow! But with that aside, the food was really good!! It isworth the visit! Read more

This was a great experience. I ordered their soup of the day and the fetticuini Alfredo. The potato leek soup was rich and... warming in the cold. The fetticuini was surprisingly good. The broccoli was cooked, but had a crunch which was great. Thenoodles were good and the sauce just made the whole dish really nice. I decided to get the blueberry cheesecake on a whim, andI'm glad I did. Probably the best cheesecake I've ever had, and I love cheesecake. Will definitely recommend. The price makes itso I wouldn't eat there everyday, but definitely go back multiple times. The staff were very friendly and the place wasn't verypacked. What a great find! Read more
