This place was bussin. Expect a wait if you come here, we anticipated it and didn't mind, it was about an hour to hour and a... half. There's tons of things nearby to go to while you wait. We came back after the recommended time but I think we were stillin line but there was two open bar seats so we just sat there. All the food was delicious, everyone recommends the pork bellytaco and I have to echo that. It's definitely interesting with the watermelon and the sauce on the pork belly was amazing. Thebartender was very friendly and helped my girlfriend make a virgin drink and I got one as well. Don't remember what drinks wegot but they were really good as well. Great date night spot. Read more
Wow! This place has such a long wait because it’s first come first serve, but it was okay because my boyfriend and I just... walked around the area while we waited. We were sat at the bar and the hostesses were really nice about getting us a seat! Wetried their small plates- the pork belly watermelon tacos were just as unique and tasty as the reviews say! We also tried thegarlic truffle fries, veal short ribs, and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They were all cooked to perfection ???? Brandon, thebartender, was very attentive and made me a mocktail that tasted amazing and refreshing. My boyfriend got another bourboncocktail (the Stupid Hat or something like that) and he loved it. Soul Gastrolounge, quite possibly might just be my favorite restaurant in Charlotte so far. Exquisite food and ambiance make... this venue the place to be on any given night. The food was filling and delicious, full-bodied and flavorful. I'll truly make ita point of venture to return here again on my next visit. The music brought a whole vibe and kept in the energy in the roommoving. The drinks were creative and strongly full-filling with a wonderful mix of flavors. I have been to this restaurant twice now. For the first time, My friend ordered the sashimi sampler and it looked so good and... fresh that’s why I went the second time and wanted to try the sashimi plate. Unfortunately, sushi menu is not available onSundays. We ordered some small plates and they all tasted really good. This was the best place we ate at on a recent trip to Charlotte. From a completely unique, one of a kind menu to the overall... vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Soul Gastrolounge. We tried a multitude of different options as the menuis just so unique. I can't say that any particular dish was my "favorite," but they were all great! You'll likely see otherreviews referencing the Asian Glazed Pork Belly Tacos. There's a reason...... Just freaking try them, they're wild, and crazy,and awesome!
