The food was very delicious! We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Lamb, rice, naan, and mango lassi. Everything was just so... good. The service was great as well and the restaurant has a cute decor. My friend really enjoyed the food and it was her firsttime having Indian cuisine. She said she would definitely come back. This is such a diamond in the rough type place. We love to sneak away for a quick bite. And enjoy some Tikka Marsala sauce. I am... a wimp so I don't do the spice, but the sweet flavors dance around my pallet like a song. The bread is fab, and I just tried thecauliflower it was amazing! Definitely try this place if you can. It's kind of tucked away but that makes it more intimate for adate. Great for brunch! It makes great leftovers. Read more

It's been quite a while since we visited The Blue Taj – at least five years – and it's still a great restaurant. The food... was VERY tasty and the service was friendly and professional. Lots of vegetarian options. Our only issue (and the only reason wewon't give it five stars) is how much more expensive it was from our last visit – MUCH more than we remember – even theveggie dishes. Still, if you have a taste for fine Indian food, it would be hard to find any better in Charlotte! Read more
