This is the worst tropical smoothie I?ve ever been to, I got a buffalo chicken wrap yesterday and I got FOOD POISONING from it,... I?ve been throwing up since eating it, that place should be shut down for however it is they?re preparing food in there. I hopeeveryone sees this and stays clear of that place. Read more
If I could give this location 0 stars I absolutely would. I've been going to Tropical Smoothie locations since I was a kid (20+... years) and this is the worst location I've visited. I've given this place over a dozen chances the last several months andevery visit has been horrendous. The customer service-- well there is none. Today the young lady working didn't smile nor waswelcoming when she handed me my online order. It was like I was interrupting her day. She also argued with me (in front ofother customers) about my smoothie. I ordered an Island Green smoothie that is always green at every other location I have beento in the Mecklenburg area. For context, I usually order this smoothie 2-3 times a week with supplements added. It is alwaysgreen-- regardless of pea protein or vitamin C or any other supplements being added in. I tried to explain this to them today,but was met with attitude and argument. When I tried to speak, she spoke over me. When I tried explaining that their locationis the only location I've experienced this issue-- they refused to listen and instead decided to "educate me" on what happenswhen pea protein is added to smoothies. Again, I've order this same smoothie with the same supplements at several otherlocations (at least 4) with no issues. An alternative response would have been to suggest making the smoothie again but withoutsupplements or to swap out my order for something else. Clearly, this individual I encountered does not understand how toprovide proper service and needs to pipe down that ego that is obviously tied to whatever personal issues she has going onoutside of work... and learn to be better... or just quit now. I will never go back to this location and will make sure myfriends and family are aware. I have an album of photos of my smoothies from this location vs others. Do Not Order thru their app they will make your order incorrectly OR blame missing items on the Doordash Driver. Even with a new... owner it's still the worst and the menu is so simple! Read more
I walked in and the place was empty. Workers seemed to be prepping, no one greeted me and all of them just looked mad. The lady... at the register obviously did not want to be there. She kept asking if that?s all with urgency, making me feel rushed. I asked,are you having a bad day? I?m sorry if I?m bothering you. She said she was tired, and had a procedure done and pointed to herarm. She said she had bills to pay, has to work and is trying to do the best she can. I said, that?s what we?re all trying todo. I ended the conversation with saying that the bad energy she has, she?s giving it to the customers. The look she was givingwas mean. You have to be able to control that, working with the public. The place was empty, have your team help you, go take abreak, etc? don?t be rude to the customers. Or perhaps Tropical Smoothie needs to provide better insurance or programs. Whateverthe case, it will be a while before I visit this location again. Read more
