Fantastic experience! Veda made us feel so welcomed and special. The old inn was lovely and historical. The room was perfect and... well appointed. The bed was Super comfy and high quality. The included breakfast was spectacular, and all a short walk to UVA.Parking was easy I?m adjoining Marriott covered parking. Highly recommend. Read more
This is a small intimate historic inn in the heart of Charlottesville. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The innkeeper,... Wow! If you are traveling from NY to FL, take 81 S instead of I 95 and stay here! The rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable,... and captivating! The proprietor, Veda, was a perfect host. Her staff made you feel like you were the only one there. Oh, andbreakfast was out-of-this-world delicious. We recommend the blueberry scones with peach jam, the bananas foster French toast,and the fried green tomato b.l.t. No need to stop at Starbucks. The endless coffee at breakfast was rich and full-bodied. Theyeven offer oat milk or almond milk in addition to half and half. Our server Emmy was attentive and personable. We had a lovely stay at the Dinsmore inn. I picked the inn based on its location and historic charm and it did not... disappoint. Our room was large and spacious, though the bathroom was a bit tight. Bed was very comfortable. The inn is on abusy street but a white noise machine provided. We live in a DT so use to noise. The morning breakfast at Farm Bell weredelicious. Loved the creative menu. Wonderful service. We were able to park the car and do some exploring on foot. Lots ofrestaurants nearby and DT only a mile away. Easy walk. Veda was a welcoming and gracious host. My experience at the Dinsmore was exceptional. The inn?s keeper, Veda and her staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay... was special. The location is phenomenal, and the breakfast is one of a kind. I recommend the baked brie as well as the chickenand waffles. This is by far the best inn I?ve ever stayed in. Read more
