Such a neat little place! As soon as we parked, we were greeted by staff (and their dogs) and invited to sit around one of their... many outdoor fire pits that were already going strong. We were given complimentary bread to start, which was nice. All of ourwine was brought to us by very friendly staff members, and they also tended to our fire pit for us. The whole experience feltlike being invited over to a friends house for wine and bonfire, and less like visiting a traditional winery. This is our absolute favorite vineyard in Virginia. We are going back in August when heading to Maine. We love the wines and... bring back cases. It is a must visit since their father was a pioneer in this region. You will be so happy you visited. A 100%must!! Read more
So far one of my top 3 wineries in Virginia! Every wine on the menu is lovely, but the amphora finished wines are to die for.... The location is also quite close to historic sites so a lovely spot to finish up a touristy day if that's what you're thinkingabout. Staff was wonderful and bottles are reasonably priced as well!
