The Alley Light is superb. After moseying down a nondescript alley and being drawn to a solitary light like a moth, you will... enter the threshold to the magical world of the best cocktails most dare not dream of. Our bartender (Andrea) was incredible. She knew all of the classics and took my fiancée down a rabbit hole of Mezcal cocktails throughout our dinner. Yes, dinner. The food is PHENOMENAL. The Tuna Carpaccio is the best we have ever had. A must for sure. We don?t often stop inCharlottesville, but when we do this will be our spot for sure. Thank you!! Read more

This little restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! I loved the dim lit style and fireplace. The service was amazing as well. We... shared plates amongst 5 of us and it was a great way to try a little of everything! I was a little disappointed that my dripcoffee was never refilled and my friend was a little disappointed by her tea preparation but those struggles were notoverpowering, I definitely recommend trying this unique restaurant. ???? A phenomenal recommendation! Cozy and intimate in the best way. You wouldn't even know this place exists unless you were looking... for it. Amazing small plates and cocktails. On the higher end price wise but worth the experience if you can afford it. Read more

The second best meal I?ve had this year. Spectacular experience. The venue is unique and fancy/cozy. The staff are friendly and... very helpful, they gave great recommendations. The food. Oh wow the food. I don?t think you can go wrong with the menu. Thecarrots, the crab, the scallops and the macaron for dessert were all incredible. The dishes are great for sharing, and if Icould I would have tried everything. I?ll be dreaming about this meal until I can come back and enjoy it again. Read more

Excellent experience with our waiter Andrew. Had our 20th anniversary dinner here. We were greeted with 2 sparkling wines when... we arrived. We ordered 3 starters which were so good that we didnt grab any photos. The bone marrow with escargot was the starand the lamb carpaccio was runner up. The green beans were ok but would pick something else next time. Overall the starters werea good portion and well prepared. The wine selection is outstanding. There are 8 or so of each Red or White available by theglass and a ton of bottles ranging from $60 to $1200. Cocktails were all great. Most had a bit more sweetness than I cared forbut were still tasty. My favorite was the dealers choice which I dont remember the name for but gave preference to bourbon anddry. Our entrees were the Scallops and Beef Tenderloin. Both were tender beyond belief and went well with the sides they camewith. We will be happy to return here and try more of the menu. Read more
