Still Charlottesville’s undisputed heavyweight champion of late night eats, after all these years! Gus Burger is legendary,... and if you’re hungry grab a Double Gus or a Motor Burger. No meal here is complete without a Grillswith: two glazed donutsfried on the grill and topped with vanilla ice cream. This place ain’t fancy, but the food here just hits “the spot.”Really enjoyed bringing my two boys here for their first visit to one of my favorite places growing up in Cville. Read more

Eh, the food was alright. Its a greasy spoon diner, nothing too fancy if that's what you like. If what you want is cheap food... and decent quality, this could a good spot (see what I did there?) for your. I tried out their grilled cheese and turkeysandwich. It's clear that the real star of the menu is the Gus Burger. I didn't know this, so can't comment on its flavor.Maybe try it out when you come here. The turkey and cheese sandwich was just okay. Bread was toasted, they did offer crispyveggies, and the turkey was standard. The price was around $8. Not bad but could be cheaper. The cheese fries were surprisinglygood. Your meal comes with a choice of s few different sides (mainly French fries or home fries, onion rings for an up charge Ibelieve). The sauce was not too plasticy and genuinely flavorful. Overall, good. The employees are super quick and efficient,but the place can get pretty packed. All in all, not a bad spot to stop by for a cheap meal. Read more
