I am only giving this 4 stars because the food (steak tips) were phenomenal! My only disappointment was that the restaurant in... Wakefield used to be a dockside and the environment was still “dockside”. For the prices Floramo’s charges I was expectingmore of the decor and atmosphere like their Chelsea location. If you are going just for the food, it is phenomenal but if youare going for the atmosphere also this place is lacking that sadly. Read more

We were staying at a hotel within walking distance so we gave this place a try the first night we arrived. The waitress was very... friendly and attentive. The food portions are HUGE. We ordered the 1/2 chicken and 1/2 ribs with roasted potatoes. We could notfinish it and took a large portion back to room. We returned again on our last night in town, again the portions were HUGE andwe took the leftovers home. The staff are wonderful and make you feel "at home". I would return.... for sure. Read more

I tried this place since the reviews were pretty good, and it was close to the Hotel. I did takeout, and was surprised that... they had no way to order on-line. I walked to the place and was excited since most of the patrons were local. This is usuallya sign of pretty good food. I ordered from the front desk and selected stuffed mushrooms, rib appetizer, and a meat lasagna. The food was bagged fairly quick and I left. I tried the food and was appalled. The (seafood) stuffed mushrooms had no tasteand the mushrooms were barely cooked. The stuffing was not seafood but more of a panko or bread. There was no seafood taste orsmell. In the trash it went. I next tried the ribs. They were cooked very well and fall off the bone tender. However, theywere very dry and they had no flavor. It had a hint of smoke and a very light glaze of BBQ sauce. Being so dry, and they didnot include any extra sauce, I could not eat the things. One more item to the trash. My last chance was the Meat Lasagna. Itwas OK at best. Burnt on the edges and hard to chew but the center section did taste like Lasagna. It was also served with asmall salad that looked wilted so it went in the trash, and a very small piece of bread that was very fresh and tasty. Over$40.00 for a meal that mostly was inedible. If you are a local and think this place has good food, I have no hope for you. This is a place that you do not want to waste your time or money on. Read more

Great steak tips and (as advertised) fall off the bone ribs. Good full bar (as for the wine list to see all the options). So... much meat you almost don't need the side. Great clam chowder served piping hot with lots of clams. Blue cheese dressing on thesalad had lots of chunks of blue cheese. No room for dessert. Old school family kind of place. Read more

I'm from out of town and luckily ran into this gem. Plain on the outside but the moment you walk in, the aromas are... intriguing. Peaking your hungry instantly. Simple menu. My server was Simon. Thoughtful, punctual, observant and great atminor small talk in between duties. I started with clam crowder. Hearty amount of seafood, no grit/sand and the prefectconsistancy served piping hot. The main dish of stuffed shrimp was brought out after i finished my soup. This was on purpose. Very intelligent as i so not want to eat cold food or soup. The stuffed shrimp were cooked perfectly. Moist on the inside anda perfect slight crisp on the outside. The mashed potatoes are homemade and the gravy as well. You can tell there in love inthis kitchen and this owner. Everyone seems to take pride in their job here. I couldn't recommend this place more. Ask forSimon. Read more
