*** UPDATE June 14, 2022 *** Almost about to remove a star. Good food so I will leave it at three. Last night my wife announced she wanted to go to the Valiant because she had a craving for their Feta dish. I discouraged her but to no avail so I relented and said that maybe this time they will redeem themselves. Didn't happen. I had no problem with the food this time. It was FABULOUS, excellent, magnifico! :) They still have the same problem with the wait staff. Again, it was a young girl about maybe 20 years old. She had no clue about serving customers to optimize their visit. Her frame of mind was: 1. What do you want?; 2. Let me go and get it.; 3. How's the food, need anything?; 4. Desert?; 5. Here's your bill. To the average person that seems acceptable. But my problem is that the waitress ALWAYS disappears after visit #3 and it is like pulling teeth to get anything. More but out of google room. *** May 1, 2022 ***** My wife and I have loved this restaurant from back in the days when it was the Chelsea Grill. The food has been excellent and the service as well. However, they have lost one star in my opinion. This is sad. Last night, May 1, 2022 at 9PM my wife and I dined at the Valiant. It had been a hard night at the hospital for my wife so I told her to meet me at the Valiant on her way home. Things started out fine. But my lasagna was over cooked. I figured I would wing it so as to not say anything to my wife keeping her evening as enjoyable as possible. The waitress stopped by to ask what else we might want and I asked for drink refills. We didn't see her again for a while. Our drinks extinguished, still no waitress or ANY wait staff to be seen (it was getting late in the evening). But then I saw our waitress in the distance so I tapped my fork on the table to get her attention. Expressing my dissatisfaction I reminded her refills were in order. By the time the refills arrived we were ready to leave. My wife doesn't like to dine without a diet-cola so we boxed her dinner to take home. I left the top half of my Lazagna behind which was burned. Waiting for the check we decided to go up front to ask for a check, cash out, and leave. The attendant at the bar cashed us out. Nobody asked us if our dining experience was okay--NOBODY! I suppose my body-english had already told the story. There was no wait staff visible anywhere. But there is more to the story. My wife's meal was only about 25% consumed and boxed to take home. The next day (this afternoon) she heated it up but couldn't finish her ribs so she gave it to me. I love ribs! But these ribs were burnt. She had not told me!!! On the credit card slip for a tip I wrote the word ZERO. I thought a lot about that before doing that. I don't recall EVER expressly leaving nothing for a tip, EVER, anywhere, anytime. I usually leave 20% rounding up to the nearest dollar if I am happy, 15% if not particularly happy. I don't recall having left a 10% tip in recent memory. In recent years I

Very unorganized and poor management. The waitress don't know how to take orders. They skip tables. It took hours just to get our drinks. At this point no one wanted to eat. It can be done better and with more organization. Not good.

We stopped here once before and had salads. Those were very good. Good flavor but burnt on some of the chicken. For the prices that are being charged for the amount of food and quality you get is ridiculous. You get the hoagie, chips and a pickle for $12 which isn't bad. So We decided we wanted to add fries and Sweet potatoes which we knew there would be an add on $5.00 for Sweet potatoes and $3.00 for The french fries, no discount for upgrade and they kept our chips. So our bill comes to $36. They run the credit card it comes back now at $38.So we also got charged $1.46 for using our bank card to pay for our dinner I have been to a lot of restaurants from state to state and have never ever had to pay the credit card fee that the restaurant should be adding into their meals disgusting and pitiful. Won't be back.

Should have read reviews, before I ordered from here. Fish tacos were, maybe, the worst thing I've ever attempted to eat. Found the fish to be frozen, reheated, and not well. Fish was completely tough (not edible), and when I pulled back the crust the Fish meat was a grayish brown color. No one checked the slaw, before heaping it on, and it was way past expired, as you could tell from the rotten smell. The side of chips included 1 red, 1 black, & 4 white chips. All this for a measly $14 big ones. Then paid $8 for fried pita chips, that would probably be great, if they weren't soggy from being put in the container (not separately) with dip. Dip that I didn't get to have all of, because much of it was in the crevices of the container and unremovable. Last, but not least, is the mean, nasty chick behind the bar, with the bad attitude, and non existent smile. Impossible to get your monies worth here. RUN.....JUST RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Met a friend for dinner and gift exchange from the Holidays and she chose the spot. The menu is pretty good, with lots of options. I chose a specialty calzone and not only was it good, but I took half of it home. I will definitely be back.

Pretty sure the "chicken lemon rice" soup was rice and dishwater. I've never had soup that had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. No chicken flavor and no lemon. A few small blackened chicken pieces thrown in and the only flavor they had was charcoal. Unfortunately my husband brought this home to me. Needless to say it was a major disappointment. This is the second bad food item I've had from here. I'm done with this place.
