Decent Japanese restaurant featuring sushi and other traditional Japanese fare. Nice decor and atmosphere. Family friendly.... Comfortable. Good service. Plenty of free parking. The food was very good. My only criticism is; it might be just a littlepricey for this type of restaurant. But overall, a good dining experience. (my friend and I were the last ones in there, theywere closing up around us, but they never rushed us or said anything) Read more

Super overpriced!!!! Good menu with both hibachi and sushi options. The sushi roll I started with overall was good. I did taste... a hint of fishiness, I believe the salmon was going bad. The hibachi, chicken and shrimp was good. Service was also fairly good. They also will charge you a fee of 5% if you choose to use a credit card. All that means to me is 5% less tip. Sorry I don’tcarry $200 in cash to pay for an overpriced meal. Dessert was nothing special. I would not go here again, because of the priceand extra fees they charge. Read more

We were in Cherry Hill, NJ and wanted to investigate the sushi in the area. Reaching out to our trusty digital assistant, we... came upon Mikado was the closest to our location. So we allowed digital fate to advise us. Google Assistant did notdisappoint. I know miso soup isn’t something one would really gush about; but at Mikado, the miso soup rocks! Wonderfullybalanced in both flavor and bits of tofu and nori, shocked us. Most miso soup is… well… boring. Not at Mikado! Try it.You’ll discover what we’re describing. The sashimi appetizer arrived on an ice-filled dish to ensure absolute freshness. Asthe bowl was lit from the bottom, it added to the sashimi’s charming presentation. I know uncooked fish isn’t everyone’stake, but I challenge you to even notice that you’re eating raw fish. The sashimi was that fresh! Take if from a non-fisheater like me. Presently, it’s the only way I can eat it. We continued the meal with several rolls we were familiar with thatdidn’t come with the sauces and other fixings restaurants are known for in presenting their signature rolls. The spider rollwas both well-crisped, yet light. The spicy salmon roll had a smooth creaminess to it, which was a compliment to how well it wasprepared. The yellowtail and scallion roll tasted both clean and delicate, allowing the bite from the scallion to come through. Not pictured is the pickled radish roll. We devoured it so fast; we forgot to snap a pic. Yes, it was that good for such asimple roll. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff was respectful of our dining, yet were attentive when needed.Oh, here’s a tip we wish we had known before our visit. Pay with cash and you’ll receive 5% off your bill. Hey, withinflation being what it is, we can use all the discounts we can get. Mikado set our Cherry Hill, NJ sushi bar high. We don’tknow what else is around here, but for today, Mikado is king.
