Let me start out by saying over the past several months we have enjoyed Marker 37. It has been our ?go to? for cocktails and... apps when we think of places to go. Over the summer we have spent many a delightful afternoon on the patio enjoying theatmosphere, service and music-until yesterday! We met friends, who had driven almost an hour, because we had mentioned what agreat venue you had. Marker 37 did not disappoint until after almost over hour into our ordering food and another round ofdrinks we were informed we were up against our ?90 minute time limit?. We had just put in another food order and when we askedour server, she said we could sit at the picnic tables or walk round-and that would be fine if we were in our 20?s and 30?s!! We were NEVER informed when we sat down. This was somewhat embarrassing for us and our guests, not to mention a poor reflectionof management. Shelly, the manager spoke to us and reiterated we could use the picnic tables, walk around, or hang by the bar.She excused this by saying it was not communicated to the hostesses correctly but that is your problem, not the paying customerswho wish to eat, drink listen to music and spend our money. Based her comment how negative reviews have an impact, we feltcompelled to let you know. Very disappointing for an establishment such as yours. We will think long and hard where we nextspend our dollars for an afternoon of entertainment. Read more
We came here for a lunch on Friday and had a good meal. We were able to get a table outside and the food and drinks were good!... The service was a bit chaotic at times, but all the servers were friendly. Read more
New restaurant on the CT River. Wonderful menu filled with a variety of dishes and specials. Had the spring rolls and then the... clam chowder which is absolutely delicious loaded with chunks of clams (but not enough of them), potatoes (plenty of them), witha dash of jalapeño . Chef Dave Saunders has put together a selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts that are some ofthe best in the region. Eat inside in a modern maritime design or on their enclosed porch with beautiful views of the river.This is a place that was sorely needed in the area. Read more
