I just went there with my family because we were around the area for apple picking. We went inside and the waiter ask my brother... how many people. We were 6. There was a heavyset guy next to him and said something. He then look at all of us and said ?Wedon?t have anything? and started walking. Then I said ?so we can?t wait? and he kept going. Had reservations, were seated then waited over 40 minutes to place order. While waiting we ate the bread and asked for more. ... Waitress told us we are of bread while I could see they were serving bread to other tables being seated. Waiting another 40 -60minutes for food to arrive. Spent almost 3 hours at Benito's with most of time waiting. Food was good but several people on ourparty were told sorry we don't have this dish, after the order was placed. Not really a great Anniversary dinner... First off, the person opening our sparkling wine did it pointing at my wife to which it... unfortunately spilled all over her. We get this happens and took it in stride, but it's how the manager/owner reacted to thisthat left a sour taste in our mouths. The owner / manager came over and immediately asked "Did you shake it?" We thought it wasa joke until he then asked, "Was it in a car?" I answered, "Of course it was. We drove here." To which his response was, "Ohthen that must be why." His entire approach was accusatory and not once did he apologize (the server did). And I'm sure somewill wonder if anything got comp'd as an apology, and it was not. We had our twins First Holy Communion here and we were so very happy! It was beautifully prepared we decided outdoor dining and... it was elegant and very special. John and his staff are excellent, very attentive and helpful with whatever we needed. The foodis consistently good whether you are going for dinner on a date night or having a function.
