I dony get the charm of the place at all. The decor is outdated, the equipment is all broken down or barely working, the air... conditioning is extremely weak, the food is typical bad bar chow.. the lettuce is always soaking wet and wilty. Our booth was inpoor repair as well as the carpet. I should have went with my gut, and left as soon as the red flags started flying up but I'mone to give any place a chance.. Needless to say, we didn't enjoy our evening. Most of the staff are hardworking and quick tomake sure you are taken care of though. I did think it pretty strange that the bartender,I think her name was Rachel, stoppedtaking customers and immediately started drinking with the guests. There was a little grey haired lady, I guess she may havebeen the manager? I'm not sure because she spent her time yelling at everyone and doing absolutely nothing.. the rest of thewaitstaff was really great and friendly though. The little girl who showed us to our seat was sweet and helpful. It would takea miracle to make us step foot in this place again.. they claim family friendly and affordable quality food but it is none ofthose things. This is my go-to first and foremost. There are a couple of people that have been there since opening day, many years ago, that... are still there. These people are like family. The food here is incredible. I recommend the build your own fried chickensandwich. I usually get a soda or a fresh brewed tea to drink but they have amazing cocktails. I recommend the "tree smasher".My favorite appetizers would either be the "upside down nachos " or the fried onion petals. There's plenty of each to share.Even the ranch dressing is phenomenal. Atmosphere was good, service was excellent. But, I had the seafood platter a it was somewhat bland, Hush Puppies and crab cake... were over cooked, almost inedible. Flounder was way under-seasoned. The staff was great but the burger I received was extremely sloppy and a soggy mess.
