It was our first time here, to celebrate our friend's birthday. What an experience! The food was amazing, had such pleasant... flavors. Loved the grilled paneer and fries, it was delicious. Early dinner without a reservation, sat at a 2 top near the large open door. Great service! Staff very helpful and friendly. I... enjoyed the spiced peanuts, tuna and water melon salad and fried chicken sandwich without bun. Great flavors! The tuna &watermelon worked together well. An absolutely incredible experience! This place does not long for originality or flavor at all. Everything is delicious and... unique but also stays very close to original Goan cuisine. I highly recommend the butter chicken croquettes, as they were myfavorite dish so far in 2022. Get here ASAP! Read more
First time at Bar Goa and it was a great experience! We went to Comedy Night with a great crowd, amazing Indian food, and unique... cocktails. My favorites of the night were the “Pick Your Passion” cocktail and prawn and chorizo fried rice. I highlyrecommend checking out their “Goa Nights” which feature live music, comedy shows, and more! Is brunch getting repetitive or even a little boring.... Then you need to check out the Bollywood brunch at Bar Goa! The music... was great, people were dancing at their tables, and everyone (including the staff) was just having fun! The food here wasamazing. Goa is known for its seafood and Bar Goa has great shrimp and fish preparations that all had so much flavor! We had thetiger prawn appetizer and the whole fish cooked in banana leaves. Both dishes included sauces that had so much spice and layersof flavor I can't even do them justice in words. The cocktails were also amazing. I had a fun gin cocktail that involved acamomile garnish and some spices in the mix. Flavors matched our food perfectly. When we are back in Chicago we will definitelycome back for brunch! Read more
