This is a great spot for brunch and dinner in Lakeview! I went for brunch and had a great afternoon with friends. The staff was... friendly and the space was nice. Barcocina is a cute little gem nestled between Lakeview and Lincoln Park. I came here on a Sunday after church for brunch and it... was decently busy. I was lead to an darker, quieter back room for my reservation and seated right next to a server station. Idid ask to move to the bar because I felt very disconnected from the rest of the restaurant. The server was super understandingand helped us pick our seats at the bar. The drinks were ok, I am a bartender myself therefore in my true opinion, my“spicy” mezcal old fashioned should have been a bit stronger and less sweet, it lacked spice almost completely, bummer. Thisis the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Other than that the truffle guacamole was amazing, the breakfast omelette as well.Due to the pandemic, everyone is understaffed, including Barcocina, but the servers and bartenders still did a great jobservicing us.
