My family and I have indulged in this scrumptious snack for decades and were VERY excited when this Garrett's opened on the... south side of the city. We've always received fresh product from this location. Customer service was decent. The lines ofcustomers can get pretty long at times and the speed of service can take longer than expected. I purchased a classic *Chicagomix* (caramel and cheese popcorn mix) as usual. Got home and the cheese popcorn was sticky, extra chewy and not fresh AT ALL.???? It only takes ONE time for a business location to fall short with us and serve less than stellar product so we'll neverpatronize that spot again. Wasted $$ on stale popcorn ???? I recently purchased A bag of small cheese popcorn unfortunately the popcorn was stale it was... purchased around 12:30 in the afternoon not sure if it was early morning or the night before. Truly the popcorn was staleand that?s very disappointing for Garrett especially in the neighborhood that I visited the customer service however wasgood. Garrett please make sure your staff does quality control it?s just as Customer service . I?m unable to take the popcornback I?m sure would have given me a fresh batch but I have to take care of some business and can?t go back. . Not my favorite Chicago popcorn shop. But I go because they got the best Carmel nut mix in the game but it seems like every time... I get Chicago mix it be stale. Highly disappointed. I normally go to this location because it is the closest to me because i live a hour and a half away but... when I got home the popcorn was stale. Garretts normally does a good job having fresh popcorn but after confidently buying ajumbo I was highly disappointed. Never again will I go to this location. Like cold fries..NOT the same! Yrs ago you could smell the aroma down the street now they dump the same popcorn you can order by... mail In the displays and serve it. The cases FULL of popcorn and the line long on a busy holiday, giving the perception they aremaking fresh popcorn but NO smell LOL. I used to dang near miss my flight if I had a connection in Chicago you could smell it inthe next terminal. The price is worth it for fresh popcorn but not sure that exists anymore.
