The food was good. I ordered lemon chicken wings and fries. I didn?t get the coleslaw that came with my meal, however, I did get... the extra piece of chicken I ordered. The slice of bread was nostalgic for me and put my taste buds right over the edge. Theseare full wings, not broken down wings like wing stop. Good fried chicken is hard to come by living in WI if you're not cooking your own. My husband is even more particular about... which chicken restaurants he will eat at. This was our 3rd time visiting this location while in the city. We've tried 2 or 3other locations in error due to not remembering which street this location was on. This is by far our favorite location and willNEVER try another location. Labor Day weekend we were in town for the Jazz Festival and stopped in before going to our room. Theowner assisted us and went out of her way to welcome us. We remembered her from our 2nd visit. The chicken was fresh and sotasty(NO Sauce). The owner cracked a joke on us for not wanting sauce. I was visiting chicago for 2 days and honestly that was some of the best fired chicken I've had in a while. There is no reason... that chicken should be that good. People there are also very nice I saw them helping some random drunken teenager on the streetby giving him free food and taking him in while finding his parents for him. They are some great people there. The onlycomplaint I had was I went Back for more chicken the next day but I went too late at night and they where closed which was myfault but now I will be for ever craving some of harolds chicken. In fact, we actually had it twice in a 4-day trip. lol. That chicken was fried likesomebodies grandma was in the kitchen! Hot, not greasy, and perfectly seasoned and fried.
