This particular visit did not yield great tasting food. My moms dish , rotisserie chicken dinner with Mac n cheese, blackeyed... peas and sweet potatoes , dressing and cornbread muffin as the sides may have tasted good to her. I'll have to ask her about it.However, my side order of dressing did not taste good at all. But the apple cobbler was good. The food is pricey as well, whichI kind of understand, as the prices of all things have went up. But it will probably be a long time before I frequent themagain. Read more

Very good food, but I don't like they're greens, green beans, cabbage they don't use meat to season. Im not shure what they use... but it is definitely not traditional.A shame because every thing else is perfect. Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, all of they'remeats. First time trying this restaurant. Wanted a hot soul food meal that I did have to prepare. I had always seen a line so thought... that might be a positive indication. However, for my taste I found flavor profiles fairly bland . I tried the turkey wings witha scoop of dressing, cabbage, yams and a side of Mac n cheese. The meal came with a corn muffin and a teaspoon of cranberrysauce. The turkey was fall off the bone overcooked and dry. The thin gravy did little to help. While the seasoning was overalllacking, with the exception of the dressing which had too much sage and totally lacking in the holy Trinity of onion celery andbell peppers. The man n cheese was decent but not $5 worthy for a small serving. The teaspoon of cranberry sauce was a tease andthe cornbread muffin was crumbly. Read more
