I had the gumbo today. Heavenly! I?m going back tomorrow. And the people are so warm and welcoming.
Food was DELICOUS. They mean it when they say make a reservation, they got busy as soon as they opened. The wings were crispy &... flavorful. The servers were very kind. We checked out everyone's food that passed us, it all looked amazing. The smell comingfrom the building is mouth watering. Can't wait to try again. Most of this review is based off of the brisket. While the pepper seasoning was alright, the cook on it was really bad. It was... tough and chewy. The fat was gristly. Nothing like the tenderness you expect from a bbq brisket. The chicken, cornbread, andgumbo were alright but nothing to write home about. On top of that they were sold out of their wings and pecan pie so wecouldn't have dessert. I wish that was all that was wrong, but on top of that there was a baby crying and screaming throughoutthe whole dinner. I know that's not something you can really prevent, but it definitely did not help. Read more
