My first 'New Korean' style experience. I love their Korean popcorn chicken (the chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside)... and their Korean Ssam platter. Customer service is excellent; the staff is friendly and generous. Read more
Everyday when I?m done with my classes I come here for a good lunch and dessert. In my months of frequenting this place daily,... I?ve never once been disappointed with the food. The Ssam platters are delicious, the chicken is crispy and tasty, and thecroffle is now my favorite desert. Customer service is excellent as well. Korean popcorn chicken was what I had. Do not get me wrong - this fills you up and is not absolutely unappealing, but especially... if you are big on Korean (and other Asian) cuisine, I did not feel that this place had much to write home about. Whatultimately causes me to leave three stars instead of four is that the rice I was served was relatively dry compared to otherlocales that serve rice. Read more
So I want to say a few things. The older post I get, Hanna, the new chef, has been classically train and went to New York s CIA... school, she took over for her parents who wanted to retire. So I understand what I just read for the old bad reviews. BUT, thatis all changed. Hanna, cooked us cheesy, spicy Gnocchi and Korean spicy fried chicken. Not only was she fast, and the food wasfresh. It was also A MAZING! She made two different cuts of Gnocchi, smaller one that were soft and melted with each bite, theother was pillowy and had all the flavor sunk into it. The fried chicken was fried to perfection. Not to hard or soft, with agreat crunch even with the spicy red sauce on it, which btw, was not to over bearing, just perfect. My experience at K kitchenwas good, from the service to watching her cook and prepare the food. I hope that people come back to K kitchen and give itanother chance. She has a... new, much pared down, menu...in a good way (do fewer things, and do them really well). I just enjoyed the Hot Tofu Soup withrice and it was DELICIOUS!
