Stop reading these reviews and just go there. You won't regret it. Order Omakase and be amazed. Sushi rolls also great. No more... BYOB, but their alcohol is very reasonably priced. Enjoy! Read more

We have been visiting Kaizan throughout many years and their food is always at the top quality. I can easily say this is the... best sushi place in Chicago, forget Momotaro, forget Juno. There is a reason why it is being featured in Micheling Guide due toexcellent food experience. Kaizan is not a big restaurant and requires a reservation well in advance and there is a 1.5h timelimit for the party of two. The service is so excellent that this time is perfect to have a nice dinner. They used to be BYOBplace but not anymore since they are serving only their alcohol. Kaizan`s chefs always serve Omakase experience beside theregular menu. Escolar OR Maguro pearls--one of our favorite, great blast of flavor with hint of truffle oil. Tako Yaki--one ofthe best you can have. Traditional Japanese plate. Orange Rush--I could literally eat those everyday lol. The quality of fishis always superb and the flavors are ideally orchestrated. Spicy Toro Maki--Definitely worth the price, absolutely deliciousand the crispy Kale on top was amazing. We also took a bottle of Sake and some special rolls in the shape of icecream cone andthey were OMG. Thank you Kaizan for ALWAYS great experience and the most delicious sushi. See you next time :)) Read more

Food was good as my previous visits but giving two stars mostly for the service. We ordered Omakase and other things, food... started piling up since half of the tasting dishes came out, we once had three of them on the table unfinished. To me, theimportance of tasting menu is having one dish at a time to focus so you are not overwhelmed. The waiter/restaurant wasdefinitely determined to rush people out, not only the dishes, but also came multiple times to ask desert while we still had twounfinished plates. We were there about an hour and a half, from sitting down to leaving, with desert, to me, that’s not muchfor this type of restaurants. There was also a piece of plastic in one of the dishes, we mentioned without much complaining, nothing happened Read more

Delicious, quite frankly best sushi I've ever tried. My partner is in a wheelchair and they made all the accommodations for her.... Excellent staff and I see why they earned their Michelin star Read more

Wow! What an experience! The food here was so delicious! They had so many flavors that married very well together. The Wagyu... Rice was phenomenally decadent! The green monster roll is a favorite for sure. I could literally eat that for the rest of mylife and not be disappointed! I forgot to get a picture of the desserts we tried the lava cake, cheesecake and matcha crèmebrûlée. They were all delicious. But they took a lot of creative license with calling the cheesecake a cheesecake it was moreof a biscuit with berries and cream. It was very delicious but not a cheesecake. This place is a beautiful gem that you mustexperience in your lifetime. Read more
