So glad to have dropped by Kubo for a date night with my SO! We made a reservation for a Friday evening, but it might not have... been necessary. The service at Kubo was commendable! The hostess, bartender, waiter, and who I presumed was the owner were verywelcoming and excited about the food they were serving. That’s always a plus! My partner and I ordered: - Chicken Eggrolls(Lumpia) - Small Plate Pork Ribs Adobo - Garlic Rice (on the side) - Small Plate Grilled Longganisa After our meal, I know forsure that I’ll be returning! My favorites would have to be the lumpia and the longganisa. The lumpia came with 4 and each onewas about 8” long and presented beautifully. The longganisa was flavorful, came with a lovely, orange dipping sauce and someveggies. I have no complaints necessarily about the pork rib adobo or the garlic fried rice, they had flavor but it didn’tstand out. I just loved the other two dishes the most! The food and service was wonderful! We had so many options for Filipino food in the area and only one night to experience a... fraction of it, so I’m so glad I picked this restaurant! I had the lechon kawali which was phenomenal! The fats melted in mymouth and the skin was so crispy! I also got the fish balls and lumpia as appetizers and they were very nostalgic and delicious.I had a lychee martini which was strong! Then I had the halo halo for dessert, which was also very good.
